We worked closely together on the writing and development of the piece, introducing new physical comedy elements, delving into the show's heart through spoken word and introducing new music. The show went on to win the Lamb Comedy Productions award for Best Queer Comedy of 2023. In 2024, Selena and I will be continue our collaboration and will be working on a brand new show as a result of the award’s prize. A rising star on the UK's fringe theatre scene, Selena Mersey has performed in the finals of the Musical Comedy Awards 2023, the 2022 semi-finals of Europe’s most prestigious burlesque competition, Burlesque Idol, been featured on the UK’s premier comedy streaming platform NextUp and made a splash on TikTok with over 3.5 million views.
